The Veteran Education to Workforce Affinity and Success Study (VETWAYS) has just been awarded $1.44 million from the National Science Foundation to extend and expand its study of student service members/veterans.
The award will help the team expand the research in three ways. First, the research team will continue work among Wisconsin participants–adding two more data collection phases to track current and former UW-Green Bay, UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Stout students as they make their way into the workforce. Second, the team will add a new cohort of student service members/veterans (SSM/Vs) from several diverse institutions nationwide. Third, the team will compare pathways and social support characteristics among SSM/Vs and non-SSM/V undergraduates.
We are excited to continue this important work. The new study begins July 1, 2022 and is scheduled to continue through 2026. See more news here.
